Anger Management

If you’re looking for court-ordered services, please go back and select Court-Ordered Anger Management.

Anger management for individuals is a supportive, skills-based service that helps you understand what’s driving your anger and learn healthier ways to respond. Anger is often a secondary emotion tied to stress, fear, pain, overwhelm, or feeling unheard. Our goal is not to “get rid of anger,” but to help you regulate it, communicate effectively, and stop anger from damaging your relationships, work, or sense of peace.

who's it for

Anger management is a good fit if you:

  • Feel irritated, reactive, or “on edge” more often than you want

  • Argue frequently or escalate quickly during conflict

  • Struggle with patience, tone, or impulse control

  • Experience rage, yelling, or shutting down after building frustration

  • Feel guilt or regret after angry reactions

  • Have relationship strain due to resentment or poor communication

  • Want better coping tools for stress, anxiety, or overwhelm

what we'll work on

Together we’ll build practical tools such as:

  • Identifying triggers and early warning signs in your body and thoughts

  • Understanding the real emotions underneath anger (stress, fear, hurt)

  • Nervous system regulation and de-escalation skills

  • Thought reframing and impulse control strategies

  • Communication skills: boundaries, assertiveness, and repair after conflict

  • Healthy outlets for stress and emotional buildup

  • A personal plan for handling high-trigger situations

what to expect

Sessions are structured, practical, and focused on real-life change. You’ll learn tools you can use immediately, along with strategies tailored to your specific triggers and patterns. Progress is steady and measurable — less escalation, faster recovery, clearer communication, and stronger self-control. If you’re not sure which anger management option fits your needs, we can help you choose the right one.
